Aircraft FAQ
My gear horn is sounding/unsafe gear lights are on!
The 737 Classic gear horn might catch you off guard if you're not used to it.
Updated Latest published version
On the 737 Classic, the gear horn sounds with flaps extended in any position and thrust levers near idle.
You can silence it using the Horn Cutout button on the throttle quadrant, left of the flap lever. This has to be done every time the horn sounds.
The red landing gear lights illuminate whenever thrust levers are near idle and the gear is retracted. This is normal.
