CSS News - November 21, 2025
Welcome to another edition of our news blog. We’ve been quiet for a while, and not without good reason - with this post we will be addressing several key community feedback points we’ve received since release. Buckle in, as this is our largest news post yet!
CSS Launcher Redesign
Over the past couple of months we have been carefully crafting a new visually appealing, intuitive and easy to use design for the CSS Launcher, and we’re pleased to say that it is currently in the final testing phase and will soon become available via an automatic update to all of our users. We hope this new design will make your CSS experience more pleasant and convenient!
Time to deliver what we promised
Ever since the initial 737-500 release, many users have been eagerly asking for the rest of the 737 Classic lineup. After months of silence, it is finally time to reveal that this is exactly what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. The CSS 737-300 and -400 passenger and freighter versions will be joining the 737 Classic lineup very shortly.
In addition, a significant amount of time and resources was spent on rebuilding our project entirely to make it in line with the proper MSFS 2024 infrastructure. In the short term, this means that the next update will feature a stable, native MSFS 2024 version for you to enjoy, while in the long term it will allow us to take full advantage of the features MSFS 2024 has to offer for the CSS 737 Classic V2.
As promised, all of the new CSS 737 Classic variants will be available at no additional cost to all of our customers for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
Sales & Pricing Policies revamp
A lot of community feedback has been directed at our subscription-based sales model, with many users wishing for variant-specific purchase options. As such, they’ll be pleased to hear that we have revamped our sales policy to include the following variants:
-The current monthly, yearly and permanent license options will remain available and grant you access to all CSS 737 Classic variants.
-The 737-300, 737-400 and 737-500 passenger versions will be available as standalone, permanent purchases priced at $45 each.
-The 737-300 and 737-400 freighters will be available as add-ons to their respective passenger versions for $10 each.
-The monthly and yearly subscription options will ONLY be available for purchase via the CSS Launcher.
-If you have an active subscription, the standalone variants will not be available for purchase until your subscription expires.
-If you purchase a standalone variant, you will no longer be able to purchase the subscriptions or the $120 full permanent license.
These changes will take effect with the release of the new 737 Classic variants.
We hope these new options will be flexible enough for everyone to enjoy our products however they like!
Now let’s go into a bit more detail on the new 737 Classic variants.
The CSS 737-300
The 737-300 is the most popular 737 Classic variant, with over 1000 built from 1984 to 1999. It is fitted with either 20K, 22K or 23K CFM56-3 engines, with winglets becoming a retrofit option in the early 2000’s. For the 737-300SF, we’ve chosen the PEMCO conversion. We’ll share some more previews of it in the near future.
We have modeled all 3 engine ratings, which are defined by the livery in its aircraft.cfg file. The exterior model has also seen various fixes and improvements which have subsequently been translated back to the 737-500 exterior model.
The CSS 737-300 comes with 16 liveries at launch, all with their appropriate engine ratings:
-Air China | B-2532 | 20K
-Air New Zealand | ZK-NGI | 23K
-American Airlines | N673AA | 20K
-AmericaWest | N158AW | 22K

-KLM | PH-BTH | 23K
-NordStar | RA-73259 | 23K
-Qantas | VH-TAH | 23K
-Ryanair | G-BZZJ | 22K
We hope you enjoy your flights with the CSS 737-300 and we can’t wait to see it in action!
The CSS 737-400
The 737-400 is the longest member of the Classic family, built from 1985 to 2000. It is powered by either 22K or 23K CFM56-3 engines and is the only Classic variant to have never received winglets. For the 737-400SF, we have modeled the AEI conversion.
As is the case with the -300, we have modeled both the 22K and 23K engine variants, which will be livery-specific.
The CSS 737-400 comes with 18 liveries at launch:
-Air Horizont | 9H-MPW | 23K
-AirMediterranean | SX-MAT | 23K

CSS 737-500 Fixes & Improvements
As mentioned above, working on the 737-300 model has allowed us to make some improvements which found their way back into the 737-500.
The 737-500 now has a separate Winglet flight model, so Winglets have been made livery-specific (customizable via aircraft.cfg) and can no longer be toggled via the EFB. Additionally, like the -300, the -500 now has livery-specific engine ratings (18K and 20K).

Stay tuned for some previews in future blog posts!
