CSS News - September 19, 2025 - More System Improvements, New Liveries and more!

CSS News - September 19, 2025
Welcome to another edition of the CSS Blog where we keep you up to date with our latest developments. We have quite a bit to talk about, so get ready!

Systems

A lot of effort is being put into improving the CSS 737's systems and fixing bugs - we're anticipating an update with a considerable amount of fixes and improvements.

Amongst those are improvements to the FCC and Stab Trim, DIR TO function and VNAV descent deceleration logic, adjustments to Autoland, Flaps lift & drag, Stall Warning Computer and several bug fixes, including the speedbrake lever not being animated, autobrake disarming on its own, CLB N1 not matching the FMC value, Green Dot speed appearing above FL200 and many more fixes and improvements.

As always, our to-do list is constantly growing and we appreciate feedback from each and every one of you as we continue to make the CSS 737 better with each update.

New Liveries

Our team has prepared five beautiful new liveries for the CSS 737-500, which will soon become available for download through the CSS Launcher. The new liveries are:

-CSA (SkyTeam) OK-XGE
-Luxair LX-LGO
-Dniproavia UR-DND
-Air Berlin OY-APL
-Pegasus "Avea" TC-AAG

We will continue adding new official liveries for the 737-500 and other variants as time goes on. Keep an eye on the #community-liveries channel in our Discord for previews from both our team and talented community painters!

Sounds

Unfortunately, implementing the new sound pack within the sim is taking longer than anticipated (and our coder has some very strong words about the Wwise SDK), however, as a preview of what is to come, new Trim Wheel and Ground Roll sounds have been included in the coming CSS 737-500 update. As for the rest, stay tuned!

737-400 Progress

Work is moving along on the 737-400 external model, which will serve as the basis for the CSS 737 Classic V2. Photogrammetry work is being carried out on a real (albeit retired) 737-400 to help us model the fuselage as precisely as possible. The wings are also progressing nicely, with our modellers focusing on the slats and spoilers as of recent. Interior wise, the oxygen mask has seen some love, and new trim wheels, complete with animated handles, has been fitted to the throttle quadrant.

As a quick reminder, all renders are work in progress and do not represent the final product.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and support. Our team is continuously working, evolving and learning new techniques to improve and streamline the development process. Rest assured, even when we're quiet, we're always cooking - and there is no better feeling than reading the community's responses after each update. So thank you again, and stay tuned for things to come!
